Amberley Carlton, Class of 2022, earned her bachelor’s degree in Economics from the University of Florida and is currently pursuing her MBA at Stetson University.
Her biggest win?
“Q.I. set me up for success. My teachers and the AICE curriculum helped me develop strong study habits, become a better writer, and strengthen my critical thinking skills. I will always credit Q.I. for my accomplishments in high school and my acceptance into college. Q.I. paved the way for my higher education.”
She gives special recognition to a mentor who made a lasting impact:
“I will always be most thankful for Mr. Belcher. He pushed me to pursue a major at UF that I was originally scared of. I’m grateful for a mentor who believed in me so much. He was right — I loved economics.”
Something she wants others to know:
“Time goes by so fast. Enjoy every moment. Go to prom even if you don’t want to. Participate in senior activities, even if you’re tired. Then do the same in college. Succeed academically, but enjoy yourself. It goes by faster than you think.”
Her shoutout:
“I am so proud of how far Q.I. has come since my 7th grade year. The faculty, teachers, and principals are truly amazing. I am proud to be an alumna.”
Thank you, Amberley, for sharing your journey. Once a Knight, always a Knight.

His biggest win?
“The ability to communicate effectively — both in writing and with people — along with strong problem-solving skills.”
Something he wants others to know:
“Don’t get too focused on one path. It’s okay to change your mind.”
Thank you, Hunter, for sharing your journey and for the meaningful impact you’re making across our state. Once a Knight, always a Knight.

History has been made in Putnam County! We are incredibly proud to announce that the Putnam County Academic Team has claimed the State Championship, a title never before earned by Putnam County. After a grueling competition that required surviving three intense rounds of questioning, they managed to unseat last year’s defending champions to take the top spot.
The championship team—Dominic Botocan, Bethany Redman, Bruce Prevatt, and Cheyenne Pena, alongside Brandyn Brown and Aiden Stewart—demonstrated incredible poise and teamwork. Under the expert guidance of coach Mrs. Catelyn Boze, the team navigated their matches with strategic play and precision, proving that hard work and academic rigor truly pay off.
This victory is a shining example of Excellence In All Endeavors. Congratulations to our state champions for representing Q.I. Roberts and Putnam County with such distinction!

Families, please take a moment to sit down with your student(s) to review their course requests. To ensure a smooth transition into next year, please double-check that they have selected exactly seven classes and two alternates.
If there are any issues please email QIR@my.putnamschools.org and we will work to resolve them.
At Q.I., we are committed to providing every student the opportunity to build a schedule that leads to college and career success.
