Abbey Minotti Gaskin, Class of 2018, attended Rasmussen College of Nursing and is now serving as a Registered Nurse in a Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, caring for some of the smallest and most vulnerable patients.
Her biggest win?
“I learned perseverance. The Cambridge program was difficult. I wasn’t a strong test taker, and I had to fail at times in order to learn how to push harder and become better. That mindset helped me tremendously in nursing school, which required dedication and persistence every single day.”
Her advice to current students:
“You’re going to fail sometimes—and that’s okay. You often learn more from failure and how you move forward than if you had succeeded the first time.”
Thank you, Abbey, for sharing your journey and for the compassion you bring to your profession. Once a Knight, always a Knight.

Sir Quintus, Founding Knight — Still Leading the Charge
Sir Quintus, Q.I.’s most enduring Knight, has long been a symbol of excellence, resilience, and school pride. After years of representing the black and gold with honor, he has officially announced his next chapter.
Sir Quintus recently completed an accelerated leadership fellowship in Medieval Strategy and Advanced Knight Studies and is now pursuing a dual certification in Competitive Jousting and School Spirit Leadership.
His biggest win?
“The rigorous expectations at Q.I. prepared me for every battle — academic and otherwise. Whether defending the realm or leading pep rallies, excellence is the standard.”
He credits the Cambridge mindset for sharpening his strategic thinking and notes that balancing armor maintenance with a full tournament schedule “felt like a manageable workload compared to AICE season.”
Something he wishes others knew:
Hydration is important under 60 pounds of armor. Also, always study for your exams before entering combat.
Sir Quintus remains committed to mentoring young Knights and is currently exploring opportunities in motivational speaking, dragon management consulting, and possibly student government.
Thank you, Sir Quintus, for your continued service to the realm. Once a Knight, always a Knight.

Andrea McDaniel, Class of 2018, graduated from the University of Florida in 2022 with her bachelor’s degree in Pre-Professional Biology. She is currently pursuing her Doctorate in Physical Therapy at the University of St. Augustine and is on track to graduate in 2026.
Her biggest win?
“My bachelor’s degree was completely paid for thanks to Q.I. and the Cambridge program! I also knew how to study because of Q.I.’s rigorous coursework.”
Something she wants others to know:
“Some of my college classes had around 200 students in them—very different from the small class sizes at Q.I. Q.I. does a wonderful job preparing you for higher education. Learning your study style will be essential to your success in college.”
Thank you, Andrea, for sharing your journey. Once a Knight, always a Knight.

Mrs. Clark’s 8th-grade biology classes took a "deep dive" into genetics and adaptation. By testing out different grasping tools to mimic bird beaks, students got a hands-on look at how specific traits help species thrive in their environments.
From tweezers to pliers, our Knights are mastering the science of survival through active, engaging discovery. It’s this kind of "everyday" excellence that makes our classrooms so special.
