Today Q.I.Roberts had a drill: A practice lockdown. The safety and welfare of the students and staff are a high priority at Q. I. Roberts Jr. Sr. High School. At 12:00 today, QIR conducted a school-wide lockdown drill. We practiced safety drills throughout the year to help the students and staff know what to do in an emergency. We are pleased with the outcome of today’s drill and feel confident that our safety procedures can be implemented effectively by the staff and students. If you have any questions or need further information please contact us. Together In Education

This staff member dreams of backpacking through the Swiss Alps, but when not planning their next adventure, you’ll find them jamming to Gangsta's Paradise or Black Violin, enjoying a refreshing Watermelon or Kiwi Guava Celcius. They’ve worked as a pyrotechnician, coached soccer for 10 years, and love kayaking. When it’s time to unwind, you’ll catch them watching The Golden Girls or at a comedy show. And the most important thing?

✈️ The Q.I. Roberts Jr.-Sr. High School Flight Simulator Lab celebrated its official ribbon-cutting ceremony on Thursday, February 27th, marking an exciting milestone for the school and the Putnam County School District. The state-of-the-art lab houses a total of 13 flight simulators, offering students a unique and immersive opportunity to take their learning to new heights.
The simulator lab allows students to go beyond learning about airplanes — they get to experience the thrill of “flying” them. By putting classroom lessons into practice through hands-on simulation, students gain a deeper understanding of aviation concepts. The advanced equipment can even simulate local airports, such as the Palatka airport, giving students the experience of flying close to home. With limited funding available for actual flight time, this lab offers an invaluable way for students to log more hours “in the cockpit” without ever leaving the ground.

100 is open and traffic is flowing. FYI

This staff member dreams of visiting Fiji for its beautiful beaches, but when not capturing stormy beach scenes with a camera, you’ll find them reflecting on the fact that everyone has a story and it’s okay to be different. They're also a fan of Creedence Clearwater Revival and Staind, and their life goal? To travel the world and take more pictures. When it’s time to relax, a swim is the perfect way to unwind. And yes, they still love dressing up for Halloween just as much as they did as a kid!
