There will be a Fall Conditioning Meeting for all girls in grades 7-12 who are interested in playing soccer for Palatka Jr/Sr High School. The meeting is TODAY at 6:00pm in the Panther Den. See Coach Shryock in the classroom in the Media Center if you have questions. 9th through 12th grade students only... Auditions for the Palatka High School theatre department's fall musical, ELF, will be held on Monday, August 23 and Tuesday, August 24 after school in the PHS music/theater building. Auditions are open to all ninth through twelfth grade students. You must sing and dance to audition. Practices will occur starting at the end of August on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday afternoons until 6:15. Dance Camps will be held on some Saturdays and Sunday afternoons. You and your parents are invited to the 44th Annual College and Career Fair! The event will be held at Palatka Jr-Sr High School Commons on Thursday, August 26, 2021 from 6:00-7:30 pm. We have invited over 100 colleges, universities and career technical colleges from the Southeastern United States. We have also invited local businesses and industries to showcase opportunities available in our local community. Are you taking AG this year with Mr. Poole or Mrs. Rogers? Are you interested in being an FFA member? If so, bring your $30 FFA Dues to Mrs. Rogers and ask her for a membership application. Our FFA Chapter is also on the hunt for a Middle School FFA Officer Team! Please see Mr. Poole or Mrs. Rogers for an application or more information. Officers will be voted in at our first meeting on September 7th. FFA T-shirts are $15 if you are interested please see Mrs. Rogers for an order form. Money for shirts is due September 15th. Eat lunch at your designated time, and report to your 7th grade teacher for the other half of Power Hour. Students in 7th and 8th grade...we have an Intramural League for sports this year. The sports are Flag Football, Volleyball, Basketball, and Dodgeball. Uniforms will be provided and we will be selecting teams. Please see Coach Rothschild in the portable/room 013 for information. Please be aware that we have scheduled Orientation Days as follows, and mark your calendars to be here with students: 7th Grade: August 12th from 9am - 12pm 8th - 12th Grade: August 13th from 9am - 12pm Students will receive their schedules and Chromebooks at these specified times.
