This is a rebroadcast of a podcast takeover I did of Putnam County's podcast "The Pulse" The discussion delved into various topics, such as Dr. Surrency's recent accolade as the 2023 Florida Superintendent of the Year, his responsibilities as the Superintendent of PCSD, and his unwavering commitment, diligence, and affection for the students, families, and staff within PCSD. #qiroberts #qirstudentgovernment #excellenceinallendeavors #qirstudentgovernment #theBozeKnows https://www.podbean.com/eas/pb-ffw8z-15ff12f

This is from Ms. Spencer reflecting on the work she does to help our students succeed in math. We have improved our math outcomes tremendously over the last few years. Great instruction is why those results continue. #excellenceinallendeavors "This year I have been working with New Teacher Center and Impact Florida Solving With Students Cadre to improve math affinity in my students. I started with the PERTS Elevate survey and then broke down the Cambridge learner attribute "confidence" into a google form to see how my students were feeling. My coach and I took it a step further and collected open response data on what my students thought it meant to take an "intellectual risk." After reviewing their responses we collectively defined "intellectual risk" as sharing an answer or solution with our peers or the class that we are unsure about without fear of judgement. Being open minded about growing and learning from our misconceptions/mistakes. Today the students were invited to a padlet where they can anonymously share intellectual risks they are taking in my classroom. I have included the link. Thank you for continuing to allow our math department to do this necessary work to improve the learning conditions in our classrooms!"
