Q.I. Roberts eSports Team is in its second year and is having a great fall season. This past weekend the team competed in a tournament sponsored by Generation eSports and the United States Marine Corps. The tournament was a weeklong tournament open to anyone 16 and up. The team defeated Southwest Wisconsin Tech in a best of 5 series 3-0 in the semifinals and defeated Penn State in a best of 7 series 4-0 to win the entire tournament. Prizes for winning include custom championship rings and hoodies. When asked about the win, Coach and Computer science teacher Chris Cantell said “This was a great win and good practice for the upcoming High School Fall Championships.” The team plays the semifinals of the High School eSports League Tuesday night, 12/7 against Holy Name High School and if they win, they will play in the finals next wednesday night. The finals can be streamed at twitch.tv/HSELesports. These tournaments are for Halo Infinite and our roster is: Jacob Hines, Wiley Hall, Nathan Bohanon, and Caleb Dyer.
